Thursday June 9 Butterflies.

So here are the new caterpillars from Scholar's Choice. 

Well the caterpillars we had never survived. So I purchased more from Scholar's Choice and those did not survive in my home. I got new caterpillars from Scholar's Choice. So wishing for luck I am hoping these ones change. One has died in the container and we discussed how sometimes that happens with nature. We have four others that  look ready for the next stage of growth. Here are pictures of these in our class. So cross your fingers for new life.

THUNDER STORM

One evening we had a thunderstorm . The children had a discussion with Miss Oscroft about the storm . They discussed loud, thunder, lightening ,and scary. So Miss Oscroft  prepared a documentation and children created theirs as well.

Tuesday June 7 Zoo Trip

Well what fun and excitement we had today . The animals, playground and bus ride. Fun! Fun! Fun! Some pictures of our day. If any parent leaders/ volunteers have pictures please send them to Miss Oscroft  or myself so we can share them on the big screen in our classroom. Thank you to for volunteering for our trip.

The day was cool but it was a blessing because the animals were active. Thanks again to the volunteers and teachers for the trip.

Friday June 3 Butterflies

Today the grade 2 class upstairs released some butterflies.  Yesterday we read  Waiting For Wings then we went exploring .

We discussed that a hungry caterpillar may have eaten the leaves.
