Wednesday Dec. 16 Seasonal Concert

I want to thank all our families for there help and participation in our Seasonal Concert. I was very proud of everyone. Their practice and hard work paid off. We chose German because we  have a student with background from Germany. I myself am married to a person with German background. The  Christmas Tree was first established in Germany.  We discussed French and Russian  as well because students have those nationalities.   In short we chose German.  WELL DONE EVERYONE!!!

O Tannenbaum

O Tannenbaum, o Tannenbaum,
wie treu sind deine Blätter!
Du grünst nicht nur
  zur Sommerzeit,
Nein auch im Winter, wenn es schneit.
O Tannenbaum, o Tannenbaum,
wie treu sind deine Blätter!

O Christmas Tree
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy leaves are so unchanging;
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy leaves are so unchanging;
Not only green when summer's here,
But also when 'tis cold and drear.
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy leaves are so unchanging!

O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy candles shine so brightly!
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy candles shine so brightly!
From base to summit, gay and bright,
There's only splendor for the sight.
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy candles shine so brightly!

The Bakery shop

Miss Oscroft and the students have been working really hard setting up a Bakery shop. It is still under construction. If you have any materials to add to the shop please send it with your child. Remember we are peanut free so any recycle boxes must be from a peanut free source.  Some  ideas may be paper muffin cups, ribbons, empty boxes, small tin plates, your child may have better ideas than I. Happy Baking!!!!!

The children have been exploring rocks so I added letters and sight word to the rocks as a fun activity to write our letters and words.
