So families with November being so busy with reports and interviews  I never sent home orders for November month. I sent home order forms today. If you want to me wrap them in white paper because they will be used as gifts for Christmas just leave me a note .

Subitizing

Subitizing  ( soob itizing) Students are learning to say numbers rapid accurate and confident judgements of number.We are learning to see small numbers. I will show a number and they have to guess it right away.

 Later we  explored numbers up to 5 ,we used a ten frame to show many  ways to make 5.
.
We then used loose parts to create ways to add to 5.
4+1 =5
3+2=5
2+3=5
5+0=5
1+4=5

Practice with your child the many ways to add to 5.

We used loose parts to make groups to add and make five.

Practace with your child, show a dice for  a few  seconds and cover it and ask them what number it was they saw  before they count the dots . It is fun amd easy way to learn numbers.

 The housre area was being used with cash register so Izabella moved the whole structure to another area of the room. Creative thinking Izabella.

We used pentominoes.

Great learning math terms like rotation , flip, slide, tall short ,thin and wide.

Van Go was a great fun.
