Tap a Maple tree

Miss Wood and Mrs. Chapman's class  are tapping the maple tree in our yard . We went outside to explore and discuss the process. Here are some pictures .

Welcome back and Happy Easter to each and everyone. The children continue to  think and learn everyday. The interest right now are structures, planting ,  puddles, mud and birds.

  The oops bag from September have become empty and some still have summer shorts.

These oops bags help your child have independence to change easily when the need arises.  Please send in the items listed above and I can send home the older clothes that are in the bag since September. March 9 Calling all Earth Rangers

Miss Wood and Mrs. Chapman in Room 106 are starting  an entrepreneur  venture to raise money for a charity.  They sent letters to some vendors and got donations of materials to make bird houses.
The students from room 106 came to show us and promote the bird houses. The name they chose for the logo and business Nature Helpers 106. Students from Nantyr High School are helping to cut the wood. If you are interested in knowing more information and wish to purchase a bird house just email or send a note and we will be happy to help direct you on the right path to support Earth Rangers.

March 9 Structures

Today Mrs. C brought  in a  house plan that a her husband designed . We discussed math concepts such as  measurement, scale, height, and weight. We had conversations about the mayor, permits , fences,city planning, and streets and roads. I put it on the wall so children can see a plan up close. Here are so photos.
