Wed. Sept 26 Meet the teacher night.

Ms. Carruthers , Miss Blake and I want to thank all the families who took time from their evening to visit  us for meet the teacher evening.  I believe we had time to speak to everyone. I hope so. This evening is just a glance to see the classroom and a brief meet and greet from us. The children will have Student Led conferences coming up. Remember to sign up for your visit.

I had some questions about what student led conferences will look like.
We have many students in the classroom .  We have to share the time for families.
A student led conference is just as it states.
We will have groups of 2-3 families visit the classroom for 15 minutes intervals.
The children will lead the conversation to showcase their learning for you. You will see some samples of their learning and may have a few brief minutes to  discuss the learning with the educators. When the 15 minutes are used up another group will have their turn. Ms. Carruthers has been sending out the schedule sheet via Seesaw . Please let us know if you have not chosen a time yet.

The children are the leaders and will have lots of coaching from us to show you their learning.I always tell the children don't fret we will help you.

Once again thank you for visiting on Wednesday evening.

STEAM

You may hear the children use the word STEAM or Steam activity. It is short for:

S Science
T Technology
E Engineer
A Arts
M Mathematics

We create steam activities all the time.
This the set up for meet the teacher night.

We will add books to see real structures  to support the learning.

Awesome STEAM learning for the inventors of our future.
Well done everyone.
