Fri. Nov 23 China

One of our friends is going to China and another friend went to Newfoundland. Since these children are traveling we showed the children a map.
We are wondering if these children traveling will lead into discussion about other places. We asked Ashley's mom to send pictures of the fun things she will do in China. The holidays are coming up so I have to do some homework and find celebrations from other places.  If you have history about the holiday's that you wish to share about your country or place familiar  let us know .We love learning too.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Share the love!!!!

Ms. McDowell is reading a book about beavers.
The pond now all the ice is melted since Monday.
 The beaver lodge.
We noticed since the snow fall on Monday the beaver added more mud and sticks to the lodge.
Lodge is much higher than on Monday. we believe the snow may have made the beaver build it higher or our presence. We were talking and may have caused the beaver to be aware of us and build their lodge so it  is stronger.

Bryce decided to help the beaver and added his stick to the lodge.
Kennedy is following Bryce and adding her stick to the lodge.

Ms. McDowell said a beaver will create a entrance and an escape route from the lodge. We think this is the escape route. but we still wonder....
We noticed ice so we think the beaver is safe inside. because the ice is not touched. We are aware and respect nature.
SCAT!! We know from studying nature that animal pooh is called scat and we can learn alot of information from scat. We know the beaver is still here we saw what we believe fresh scat. We are learning too. We wonder ....

Fun learning about beavers.
