Mon. Jun. 11 Makerspace.

 The children used makerspace materials to build and create steam ideas.

Pumpkin

Here is the pumpkin still surviving.We gathered some mulch for our garden today.

One of the children said

"Mulch is like a blanket for the plants". 

We discussed that the water can stay in  the flower bed and it keeps the plants warm .
We also planted the corn seedlings today.

Thur. June 8 Ants

Children were exploring and found ants in the yard.

Wasp Bee Hornets

We had a discussion about the difference between  wasp bees and hornets.

Ben writing about his learning in his journal.

We found a hive.

The children created art with peacock feathers after reading this book.

The children began drawing their own feathers after the book.
