Fri. Oct 28 Outside in the Forest

We went to the forest and saw the snow was in spotted areas all around. We discussed some rules regarding climbing on the snow and ice covered branches logs and trees. It was a different kind of play no climbing however the children created their own play. It is great to be a kid.

Friday Oct 28 Outside.

We had gym outside today. Miss Bone brought out equipment.




Thurs. Oct 27 Nature Walk

Today we went on a nature walk to the forest . We noticed that the rooftops had snow. The ground was covered in snow and ice.

 We had just arrived to the forest and it started to hail.

We discussed the difference in  nature and temperature.
 Hard to see but Hail is on the green unit.
We discussed Hail was frozen water similar to snow but harder.

Ashnaa "Who named it daisy? Is her name a flower name.
On our walk back we discussed some flower names.
Lily Rose, Petunia, Chrysanthemum, I wonder???
 
Here the birds are chattering. We talked about what they might be saying.
 
 
We learned something new today.

Wed. Cooperation and Respect Assembly Oct 26

We had our October assembly today . It was for cooperation and respect. It was crazy socks as well.

 
Excellent job  Lilah and  Maximus we are very proud of you.
 

Tues. Oct 25 Forest.

We waited for the frost and went to the forest today. It is certainly different from the first visit we wore shorts an tees with the sun . Today was fun with the colorful leaves and a new smell to nature.

 Well Done. Millie was able to lift it.
  I am not sure how to describe this play.
Boys would hold branches and swing and jump to
the ground . Safe and fun . I love nature.

Monday Oct 24 Patterns in Room113

Today we made patterns with beads pipe cleaners clay and cardboard. We learned ways to repeat a pattern.











 
This was an interesting way to create patterns. Thank you Jodi O my partner last year who came up with the idea. We made wonderful arrangements today.
