Ms. McDowell showed the students some pictures of the sap her father and brother are collecting from the trees in their yard.
They put tubes in the holes in the trees to collect the sap . The tubes drain the sap into bottles .
Ms. McDowell's brother is stirring the sap as it boils in a pot.
