Fri . Apr. 28 Infection Control.

I had the children wash their hand more often today. Please be mindful of germs and wash your hands more frequently to prevent infection.

Fri. Apr. 28 Scribble.

I read the book Scribble By Ruth Ohi. We discussed how important it is to include others in our play and share. We discussed how Scribble was different from the shapes in the story. The children created their own pictures.

Jordyn a balloon. Scribble is in the water. He had fun doing it.

 Millie "They are playing. They are friends.

Lilah I drew Mrs. Circle Mrs.Square and Mrs. Triangle. My name is in cursive writing.

Wed. Apr. 26 Hat day Charactr Ed

We had Hat Day this month for Character Ed assembly.

 

 

We made our own hats if we forgot to bring one.



 

Congratulations Tishawn and Trenton for receiving awards  this month.

  What a surprise and honor to receive the golden broom award again. We clean our room every day and it was noticed and recognized . Thank You.

Wed. Apr. Parts of a plant.

Sawyer brought in a plant and we put it on paper. She wrote the parts of the plant and then explained them to her peers.

Fri. Apr. 21 Math

the children are back to using the white boards again. I think because I added white board pencils that sharpen like pencil crayons. More students are curious and learning again.

She needed two boards. I suggested we could tape them together.

Jordyn added more fine details to her work.

  Tanisha wrote the numbers up to 27.

On our walk this week we found some coins. I put them out so we could discuss the name and description of the coins. A new way to add money to our interest table.

Fri. Apr. 21 Snake skin.

Ms. McDowell read a book about acorns. This book had animals in it. A conversation developed about snake as a result of the book. Ms. McDowell showed the students a snake skin.

 

I will  some documenting about the snake soon. It is fun to learn with hands on. This snake is neat because you can see the whole body and head .

 

Thurs. Apr. 20 Rabbit sighting

The children were outside at the beginning of the day . It looked like rain was coming
so our time outside was in the outside classroom. We saw a rabbit . They were quiet excited.

 

 

 

The rabbit caused lots of conversation about animals in winter and spring.

This could develop into a new inquiry about rabbits.

I love learning too!!

I have to do some homework with the children and learn about rabbits to share with the rest of the class.



Wed. Apr. 19. Zumba

The children enjoyed Zumba with Tanya.
