Farewell Miss Callie

Families last Friday when I did the blog I neglected to post a farewell to our high school student Miss Callie. She will be missed from our class. She came in for a visit on Thursday to say her goodbyes to the students

Thurs. Jan 25. Crazy Hair

Here are some of the crazy hair we had in our room.

Fun day.

Wed. Jan 24 . Blocks and shapes.

We have been exploring shapes . It is important to to be organized and knowing our shapes can help keep things in order. Just look at the blocks before and after.

The children learned that the blocks have shapes that fit in each other. The same size will stack together. So I challenge you to tell the children to organize their own playroom using shapes.

Sharing Tradition Posters

This week the children presented their posters.
Jahntae: We learned he made rice crispy squares with all his family. He made a gingerbread house.He had Christmas Tree with presents. He shared his Halloween Costume. He decorated his home with Christmas decorations.

  Abby: Abby went to Mexico with her family. She celebrated with a Pinata. The Pinata had candy. She went swimming with her brother. Her younger sister had a birthday on Dec.25

 Hadleigh: We Learned that Hadleigh  had a Christmas tree at her home. She celebrated Halloween and wore a costume. Hadleigh made Easter eggs on her poster .

Sight Words

The children have been continuing to explore sight words so we watched a video and saw new words to remember.

I will have to add more rocks to my sand activity . 

Tues. Jan 23. Snowfakes.

I set up another snowflake activity for the students.. The children are still learning shapes . I got this idea from my partner from the past . Mrs. Parazader managed to fine a similar idea for me. In the end the children get to enjoy a fun activity.

 Leah  and Ben were fast getting ready for outdoor learning and

 had some time to create their snowflake.

I wanted to add these snowflakes the children made at the art area.
