Sharing HolidayEvents and Special Traditions

We sent home a letter and cardstock poster to decorate and explain special holiday events  and traditions you share with your family. All week children have been presenting their special traditions to the class.   I got a document camera from the library so the children can show their work on the big screen.
Leah : We learned Bozik is the word used for Christmas and they celebrate the holiday on Jan. 7. They make a special bread with a lucky coin.

Jordyn :  We learned Jordyn had a big fire with members of her Church and fire fighters to burn all the Christmas Trees after the season. They had hotdogs, hot chocolate and a chance for a meet and greet with other familes in the Church.

Cohen: We learned Cohen had a Christmas tree.

Faris: We learned Faris 's grandfather had a birthday on New Year's Eve and he shared it with his cousins.

Navyah: Navyah went to Niagara Falls with her family and she saw a show . She got to go in the cage with a  real tiger.

We are completing presentations as they arrive.  We still have some in the classroom. I am  hoping to showcase all the children on the blog. If you have not done so please send in the completed poster with your child. It might be a good idea to rehearse it so they are prepared.
I am setting up a wall display in the classroom with the completed posters.
